Gas Fire - If the pilot light is not lit, from the office position, turn anti clockwise until just before thr pilot light sign for a few seconds, then go further until you hear a click which is the igniter, if you see a small flame, keep it held there for 5 seconds. It will now stay lit. You can now turn the dial further anti clockwise and the fire will ignite.

Kitchen appliances

Gas Hob - find which burner you want to use and turn the gas on, the igniter is a sliding switch, press and slide this towards the back wall and you will hear it clicking and see the spark. Release once the hob is lit. Oven - set the desired temperature, switch the mode selector dial to fan, turn the timer anti clockwise to the hand to manually turn it on, or clockwise to a set timer amount for it to turn off after the time in minutes.
